THE ILLUMINATED NEW ORLEANS TOUR-COMING SOON!
Our tours invite guests to experience New Orleans without sensationalism or simplified myths. We explore the interconnected histories of the people who built and preserved New Orleans culture: Black communities, Indigenous peoples, immigrants, women, queer communities, artists, musicians, spiritual practitioners, and working-class locals.
Through a thoughtful, decolonized lens, our tours uncover the real history of New Orleans. We connect the past to the present, highlighting how historical struggles and triumphs continue to shape the city today.
These experiences are designed to feel immersive, conversational, and deeply human. Guests are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and engage with the city beyond the surface level. Rather than simply observing New Orleans as tourists, we invite visitors to feel connected to the living culture and communities that make this place sacred.
Many people say there is “something about” New Orleans; a spirit, an energy, a sense of belonging unlike anywhere else in the world. Our goal is to help illuminate that feeling through the stories, traditions, and histories that continue to breathe life into the city every day.
By the end of the tour, we hope guests leave with a deeper appreciation for New Orleans: not as a place to fear, romanticize, or consume, but as a city to respect, protect, celebrate, and help preserve for generations to come.
